Tt_logo_sm_1 Patty reminded us that Tots & Tonic comes to Half Wine Bar Lounge tomorrow (Wednesday, 1/19). If you go, bring a camera and send us some pictures. From T&T: "Tots and Tonic-The Happy Hour for new moms (and dads)
… T & T is a causal baby friendly event for new moms to meet each other."

The T&T website has links to Mom-Run businesses and support networks. They
will link you too, if you have a "Mom-Run Business." (I’m going to have
to ask my friends with Dad-Run Businesses what they think of this linking
policy.)

Josh writes: "It occurs at Freddy’s on the last Wednesday of the month (next week, Jan. 26) at 8 pm. The
entrance fee is a dollar ($1) and it’s winner take all. We’ve done the bee
twice now, and had pots as big as 21 dollars, so you can win some SERIOUS
money. The winning word at the first bee was "eleemosynary" but that’s much harder than the words usually are."

[Underhill Playground Upgrade] ETA: after your kids have kids

As reported on the Prospect Heights Parents Association newsgroup, the Underhill Playground improvement project is still out to bid, and reportedly
has been re-bid several times. This past week, one group member asked
for help setting up a meeting with the parks liaison, capital projects
manager and council’s office.

Editorial: Isabel doesn’t mind the park in its unimproved state. Kids don’t need RFPs to have fun.
