Many thanks to Amy G., who sent in this picture of 460 Prospect Pl. (11238, about a block off of Washington Ave., between Grand Ave. and Classon Ave.). According to PropertyShark.com, the 4-family building (4,880 sq. ft.) sold for $725,000 (market value $702,720, annual tax bill $4,685) on Feb. 1, 2005.

Many years ago, my grandparents lived on the second floor of 454 Prospect Pl. Back then, to my childish eyes, it seemed huge, esp. as compared to our lst-floor apt. at 410 St. Marks Ave. The photo seems to indicate that the buildings are decently maintained, and I am glad to see it.
I was surfing this morning for my old address and found the posting from Germaine Manual, who was my next door neighbor at 410 St. Marks Avenue. My Uncle Joe and Aunt Mary lived on Prospect Place as did my Aunt Betty. I am happy to see the neighborhood is coming back.
