No News On Jared Fogle in 5 Days
Brooklynite Josh has gone nearly 5 days without posting news about Jared Fogle, though he continues to misspell the Subway spokesperson’s last name. Despite the lull, we can confirm that Jared has not died from unexplained causes, he has not been busted for cocaine possession, he has not been diagnosed with AIDS, and he did not have a gastric bypass operation. PH Resident Charged in "Vicious" Box Cutter Slash Attack
THOMAS J. LUECK wrote in the New York Times: "A Brooklyn teacher and an acquaintance have been charged in a vicious attack … The principal … was attacked outside her
home … by a
man on a motorcycle as she was leaving for work. She was slashed with a
box cutter and needed more than 100 stitches on the right side of her
face."
"… a law enforcement official, who insisted on anonymity, said … ‘a witness overheard her say
to him, "When are you going to do it? She already has fired three of my
friends. Quit procrastinating."’" Read the whole article…

BONDY on RATNER: "Don't believe the timetable"
Bondy (Daily News) writes: "Ratner is still hoping to get this whole thing done by 2007 … Don’t believe the timetable. The New Jersey Nets will be suffering lameduck-hood for many years to come."
"Ratner has bought out about 80% of the properties that stand in the
way, and the project has key borough support. But there are still local
residents who object to the approaching bulldozers, and to a
public-private partnership that initially will cost taxpayers more than
$200 million in infrastructure improvements."
"Nothing ever gets built around here … For
decades, there have been … all
these pricey stadium and arena projects on the drawing board … Still there is nothing, even after nearly a dozen years of pro-development, Republican mayoralties." Read it all…
