Thanks to foodgenius for giving us a close-up on BEAST Brunch - three cheese omelet on croissant - and her report on chronic and prolonged delays for Prospect Heights food, one would assume due to surging demand (or possibly no-show waitstaff?). She says an hour-long wait squashed that “magical brunch mood” over at Beast… which was insult to injury after a 2+ hour wait at Tavern on Dean on Underhill Avenue. The common thread: “scant apology, recognition or compensation” for either travesty of foodservice.
