What’s Up With the Rocks?

spa next to kombit.jpgBoth EmilyM asked about a space on Flatbush Ave., next to Kombit, “undergoing a high-concept looking reno. Full length windows, one of which had a display of river stones in it {hard to explain}. Anyone know what that is?”

Turns out this Flatbush Ave. storefront is going to become a “full body” spa, according to one of the women who owns Kombit.

Total Wine Bar: Half Times Two?

Posted by dailyheights on Thursday 11 August 2005 at 11:03 am

“Last weekend I went to Total Wine Bar on 5th Ave between St. Marks and Prospect (or right near there). It looked a bit pretentious at first, but the guy at the bar was really nice, he let us sample our wines before we decided to “commit” (his word), and both of the wines I tried were great. They had an interesting snack & cheese menu too… which I intend to sample soon. So for those of you who are looking for a good place for a glass of wine, I would recommend Total Wine Bar.”
