I asked the guy behind the counter if they sold a lot of it. He said, “uh, no. Not really.”

Awkward pause.

We tried a bottle, but I don’t know enough about wine to say anything other than “it was good.”

Over at prete.ntio.us, Michael writes: “It’s dark with atmosphere and just plain friendly … the tap selection isn’t much but the bottled beers do offer some good variety … It is in itself an undiscovered refuge within the Prospect Heights … If you happen to be around on a Sunday, I recommend dropping in for dinner. It’s a set course and is reasonably priced … when they do food it’s excellent. … I’d give this place five stars except for the lack of Hoegaarden and that it’s not dog friendly.”
